Karla Medal

Mi nombre es Karla Alejandra Medal Aguilar, una centroamericana nacida en Honduras, en la ciudad de Choluteca; abogada y activista política en diferentes organizaciones civiles enfocadas en la igualdad de oportunidades para las mujeres y la Juventud de mi país. Después de la secundaria, asistí a la Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana y me gradué con título de abogada. Durante este período intensifiqué mi trabajo social e inicié a ocupar cargos directivos en las diferentes organizaciones a las que pertenezco; fui miembra de la junta directiva de la Facultad de Derecho en la universidad, Presidenta de la Juventud Liberal de Francisco Morazan. En el periodo 2018-2022 fui electa como Diputada Suplente al Congreso Nacional de Honduras, siendo una de las congresistas más jóvenes en la historia del país. Como abogada, soy asesora y consultora legal para diferentes personas, empresas y organizaciones a nivel nacional e internacional, en diferentes materias de ámbito jurídico.

 

Estoy felizmente casada, y constantemente testifico sobre el valor de la familia, como el pilar fundamental para el buen funcionamiento de una sociedad.

 

My name is Karla Alejandra Medal Aguilar, a Central American born in Honduras, in the city of Choluteca; Lawyer and political activist in different civil organizations focused on equal opportunities for women and youth in my country. After high school, I attended the Central American Technological University and graduated with a law degree. During this period I intensified my social work and began to hold managerial positions in the different organizations to which I belong; I was a member of the board of directors of the Faculty of Law at the university, President of the Liberal Youth of Francisco Morazan. In the period 2018-2022 I was elected as Congresswoman to the National Congress of Honduras, being one of the youngest congresswomen in the history of the country. As a lawyer, I am a legal adviser and consultant for different people, companies and organizations at a national and international level, in different legal matters.

 

I am happily married, and I constantly testify about the value of the family, as the fundamental pillar for the proper functioning of a society.
